Thamara Labrousse has hands-on expertise on managing complex organizational issues, developed over 20 years working in social and human service settings. Her administrative skills including extensive grant writing; program development and evaluation, community engagement and collaboration; needs assessment and leadership with diverse groups. She has extensive experience in non profit management including strategic planning and data analysis; quality management; board governance and leadership; human resource management; and staff and volunteer training and development. She is an effective and engaging trainer/facilitator of workshops and seminars on Cultural Competency, Communication Skills/Active Listening, Conflict Resolution, Crisis Management, Suicide Intervention and Community Resource Development. She excels in bridging partnerships that bring grassroots leaders together with professionals and policy makers to improve their communities.

Ms. Labrousse's consulting practice at Strategic Partners focuses on reducing fragmentation and duplication of services; promoting collaboration across systems of care to create seamless, coordinated service delivery for clients; and supporting quality improvement efforts that result in positive client outcomes and cost effectiveness. Her professional history includes leadership positions with Switchboard of Miami, Inc., including Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Director of the 24-hour Helpline Services Department. This non-profit organization specializes in Information & Referral services, Suicide Prevention, Crisis Intervention, and programs for at-risk youth and their families.

For nearly a decade, Ms. Labrousse's work has been dedicated to expanding client access to health care and social support services. Her efforts include extensive work with the Florida Alliance for Information and Referral Systems on a wide-range of issues including efforts to implement, sustain, and promote 2-1-1 networks nationwide. She also provided her expertise to the development of best practice standards for the operation of Information and Referral centers and Crisis Intervention hotlines in the U.S. Locally, Ms. Labrousse spearheaded fundraising, planning and implementation activities that resulted in the successful realization of Miami-Dade County's 2-1-1 system. Her tenacious leadership and vision for this project were essential to the acquisition of state licensure and national accreditation.

As a committed volunteer and board member of several organizations, she has facilitated conferences and training sessions, provided media relations services, and governance guidance. Currently, Ms. Labrousse is a Board Member of Jessie Trice Community Family Health Center, a community health center with a $20 million budget, 300 employees and 16 sites and Sant La, the Haitian Neighborhood Center, a comprehensive social service agency serving the Haitian Community.

Ms. Labrousse is a double Barry University alumnus, receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in Public Administration and a Masters of Science degree in Management. She is a graduate of two prestigious local leadership training programs, Leadership Miami (Class of 2003) and the Miami Fellow's Initiative (Class III).
